It seems to be trying to convey a very dreamy and serene setting, like the girl is completely detached from her surroundings or what is going on around her. I further get the feeling of this with her skin and her clothing being very de-saturated in the photo, surrounded by the brilliant green of the grass, the deep reddish brown of the tree trunk behind her, and the pop of yellow in the leaves of the branches in the back ground. She appears to be dreaming about something she wants to put into a painting, maybe it’s the love that is described in the description of the photo.
I think the photo is very well done, the colors are beautiful, depth of field is great and the focus is very sharp. I don’t like the way her legs are cut off, leading to an amputee look. I believe it would have been better if her legs were folded behind her still within the framing so you could see them in full. Other than that I don’t see anything wrong with the photo. She does have that dreamy look in her expression, but looking at this photo I don’t see or interpret the message the photographer states they are trying to get across in the description they provided.
